TERC is a multidisciplinary creative agency that helps businesses across Switzerland refine and develop their brands through design, strategy, and technology. We craft branding, graphic design, photography, and film to make brands tangible and communicate their message clearly.
Our team is young, with an average age in the mid-20s. Having grown up with the internet and new technologies, we think digitally. We leverage this perspective to develop modern solutions that embrace current trends and work in practice.
This combination of technological expertise, creativity, and strategic thinking forms the foundation of our work. Our approach blends digital and traditional design with well-thought-out brand communication. We analyze, question, and create—with the goal of delivering consistent brand experiences that are both visible and impactful. From the initial concept to execution, we set the highest standards for quality and functionality.

Manifesto
Where does the name TERC come from?
The name “TERC” originates from the creative vision of our founder, Gabriel Balmer. At the age of 12, he adopted the artist name “Edward Riel”, believing that a distinctive name was essential. He created it by combining his third name, Eduard, with the ending of his first name, Gabriel, forming a unique moniker.
When it came time to establish the company, “The” and “Company” were added, resulting in “The Edward Riel Company.” However, recognizing that this name was quite long, the abbreviation “TERC”was introduced for simplicity and clarity—marking the beginning of the brand as we know it today.
